The Second “Clean Energy Development and Consumption“ Seminar was held

On July 20, the "Clean Energy Development and Consumption" Seminar was held in Xi'an. The conference was hosted by the Power System Study Committee of Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, co-hosted by the Relaying Protection Study Committee, the New Energy Grid-in and Operation Study Committee, the Power Storage Study Committee, the Artificial Intelligence Study Committee, the Power Information Study Committee, and the Wind and Tidal Power Generation Study Committee, organized by the Northwest Branch of State Grid Corporation of China and Nari-Relays, and co-organized by CEPRI, Xi'an Jiaotong University and the State Key Laboratory of Operation and Control of Renewable Energy & Storage Systems. More than 400 representatives of international organizations, research institutes, provincial companies, design institutes, universities and manufacturers in the power system fields and members of the study committees participated in the conference and exchanged their ideas.

Zheng Baosen, chairman of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Wang Fenglei, deputy chief engineer of the State Grid Corporation of China and director of the Northwest Branch, gave a welcome speech. Academician Guo Jianbo, Chairman of the Power System Committee of Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering and board chairman of CEPRI (president) delivered an opening speech and presided over the meeting.

A total of 12 keynote reports were arranged, including those given by Xue Yusheng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Qiu Aici, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Guo Jianbo, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Tang Guangfu, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Sun Zhengyun, chief information officer of the State Grid Corporation of China, and Zhang Qiping, senior adviser of the East China Branch of State Grid. Li Mingjie, director of the National Power Dispatching and Communication Center, Zhang Zhenyu, director of the Northwest Power Dispatching and Control Sub-center of the Northwest Branch of State Grid, Hong Chao, director of the Systems Research Laboratory, China Southern Power Grid Institute of Science, He Zhengyou, professor of Southwest Jiaotong University, and Yuan Xiaoming, professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, etc. Those keynote reports were entitled the Power Failure Defense Framework with the Support of Intelligent Power Grid and UPIoT Integration, Power Electronic Technology Development Opportunities and Challenges in the Power System, etc. The conference also arranged a total of thirty-seven special reports in six sub-forums, including clean energy power generation grid-in technologies, clean energy operation control and management technologies, energy storage and its application in clean energy consumption, the application of new technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence, the latest developments and achievements related to intelligence, the IoT in Electricity sensing, equipment and information communication.

The representatives attending the conference had a wonderful interaction with the speakers around the report topics, which led to enthusiastic exchanges and discussions.
