CEPRI Launches Performance Assessment and Testing of Core Components on Relay Protection Devices

On March 19, the launch ceremony for the Performance Assessment and Testing of Core Components on Relay Protection Devices, initiated by CEPRI, was held in Beijing.

At the meeting, CEPRI introduced the background of the project, and proposed the research contents, tasks and indicator division and other content of the implementation plan, deployed the research schedule, and set up the integrated communication and coordination mechanism of “industry, university, research and application”. Experts at the meeting provided suggestions on the research and coordination in chip technical indicators, impact of protection device and protection testing technology. The project investor, State Grid Shandong Power Co., Ltd., set forth specific requirements on the project supervision and management, thesis, patent and expenditure.

The project is to improve the reliability of relay protection device in the whole life cycle based on the core components, so as to lay a solid foundation for the localized chip application in the relay protection field and provide technical support for accelerating application of localized chip in the relay protection device.
