CEPRI Expert Wins Excellence Award of Energy System Integration Group (ESIG)

From March 19 to 21, local time of the United States, Energy Systems Integration Group (ESIG) Spring Technical Workshop was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Chen Mei, deputy general manager (vice president) headed a delegation to the workshop.

During the event, Chen Mei and members of the delegation attended the Annual Membership Meeting, Spring Working Group Meeting and Spring Technical Workshop and exchanged views with experts across the globe, introduced China’s technical research, engineering practice and achievements and experience on the power energy, especially renewable energy field. CEPRI experts as specially invited for the high-proportion renewable energy parallel session, introduced the case study of technical issues in the large-scale renewable energy integration with the weak AC grid and countermeasures, arousing hot discussion and wide attention.

At the meeting, ESIG 2019 Excellence Awards were granted. Mark Ahlstrom, chairman of ESIG Board of Directors, granted the awards to winning experts for their contributions and selfless commitment to the energy industry. Experts from the Renewable Energy Research Center won the honor as a representative of the renewable energy technical field.
